In my opinion, no. The Aggregate Trailer Mass stamped on the caravan VIN plate is the maximum weight the trailer/caravan is allowed to be, regardless of what the tug is capable of.

No, not legal as the stamped ATM is the maximum weight for the van, including ball weight.

Providing the axle ratings are sufficient and other factors such as wheels, tyres, chassis etc., are all deemed capable, you may be able to get an ATM upgrade to say 4500kg, through a certified engineer.

The Engineer who oversaw my upgrade, even contacted the van manufacturer to get a letter stating that the van body would handle the extra weight.

Hi Chris and welcome.
You have a heavy van there and I am guessing a big 4x4 out fit.

Some folks get into lots of water for camping out and get carried away with tanks etc. I know I did and it bought me up to the max weight pretty quickly.
I am wondering if your tanks were full and it may make a big difference on a weigh bridge. Just saying.... :)
I now have to note that I cannot accept owners ship, truth, quality, or veracity, of articles I may quote off the internet.

I have sent you a photo of the rig.

How old is thge van?
I'd be going back to the manufacturer and asking for it to be replated because as said before you are not legal
