It is pretty normal these days to see dealers advertising vans being able to be towed by a Prado et al. You also see advertising for a 600Kg payload on some vans.Whilst 400Kg was the norm, things are slowly changing.

Having had an over weight van previously due fitting extras for free camping when purchasing a new van recently I ordered the van all extras included & extra payload thinking the van would be weighed as ordered . It would appear the dealer fitted some of the extras & they were not included in the starting weight . So it looks like you have to specify in writing that the van be weighed as ordered . Barry
