697 in LT are the good ones, and I would thorougly recommend them

Some of the others are nowhere near as good
And as I found out 2 in the 697 LT one I think is 6 ply and one 10 ply. In 245/70/16 one has a load rating of 113 (1150 kg) and the other 118 (1320 kg)confusing.

We banned them from a 4x4 club I used to travel with due to the early wear and steel becoming visible at the tyre edges. They were not a bad as the rubbish sold by ARB at the time though. :)

The caveat here is this was 15 wears ago, and we were doing more expedition traveling than even hard core 4 wheel driving. Our vehicles were with out a doubt on max load as well, so severe conditions indeed.
I now have to note that I cannot accept owners ship, truth, quality, or veracity, of articles I may quote off the internet.

I had 16" 70% profile AT Duellers on my Colorado ute, rotated every 10000km and replaced at 60000km (with at least another 10000km,s or more left in them) with a set of 17" 65% profile HT Duellers, bought off Ebay. I have almost 50000km on them now and still plenty left. I am not into going offroad and very happy with blacktop performance.

The 70% profile did ride a lot smoother than the 60% profile.

My problem is they go out of round and sound like a wheel bearing has gone.

I have Bridgestone 697 fitted to Jeep GC, 50000km and the look like there is 15000/20000km left on them.
Had Kumho tyres previously, they were un-roadworthy at 22000km.
cheers
