JR,

My son builds caravans every day and they all have steel bracing frames that are made specifically for air cons.

They have 2 parallel rails that reach right across the full width of the van and have a square hole section in the centre. I have one sitting in my shed :)

Edit: Hmmm... having another read and now I'm not sure if you mean an air con or a dish sometimes has special bracing. If there was a post delete function I would use it :roll:

No you are right I was referring to the air con but was not aware that all vans had special bracing to support the air con although I guess they should.

So you have inside information on caravan building very useful.

Yes, he has been doing this for nearly a decade. He has worked for 3 or 4 well known brands.

I will swap you for them needs against a bit of caravan repair....I wouldn't mention it to the lads just yet though. :) Children feel used some times...
