Hmmm....now that is interesting.
But what i really want is the same comparison...but included with the iPhone 7 plus with it's twin lens.

Yes ..yes..but can a proper camera instantly send pics taken onto family & friends...wherever you are !!TramcarTrev wrote:Hear Hear!Old Techo wrote: and.... if you want decent pics get a proper camera
The whole point is that phone cameras are getting closer and closer to taking pics equivalent to a good quality camera ( note I have not said best quality ) and most probably better than the base quality dedicated cameras.
The attraction for me is too have the best compromise between phone and camera.
Thanks for sending the Dpreview link DT...I used to regularly frequent this site years ago, but back then I never bothered about reading comparison tests between phone pics as they were pretty average back then.
I think I read somewhere that there was an iphone camera update coming before the end of the year ??
Cheers
Rob

It was the Note 7 that had the burning battery issues, not the Galaxy S7, so (hopefully) the S7 will be fine.dieseltojo wrote:Yep it might burn but as a camera phone the Samsung took better pics. This is a really good pic comparison in this test. I like the way the sliding pic comparison is done.

Thanks Gerry, hard to keep track of all the 7s.
I now have to note that I cannot accept owners ship, truth, quality, or veracity, of articles I may quote off the internet.

Re: Apple I Phone 7
Just read a PC mag review on the iPhone 7 plus.
It would appear that only area where the iPhone 7 plus is better than any other current phone on the market is with shooting video.
This is important to me....but not at the expense of normal picture taking which to me is equally important.
It would appear that the new Google pixel phone is just that bit better overall...apparently.
Hmmm...still time to think about this one, but I also think it is wise to try and not get caught up with "reviews" as they can pick and quite little things that in the real world that most of us wouldn't care about.
Very easy to get caught up in "stuff" that can take you on a merry go round....which I have been guilty of at times.
Cheers

Yes Rob.... Reviews are only worth the value of the lunch for the reviewer... I mean if anyone paid me to review something would I be so stupid as to denounce it? They can be so subjective.... I read a review once on a Van, the reviewer canned it becuase it had no toilet roll holder...

Exackery TT.
Agree....best thing is to take note of any review....then make a decision on what YOU want and what suits YOU.
Only 5 weeks till new phone/contract....counting down.
