I have got a bottle of Kafuter.
Its an industrial UV Glue. Comes in a black bottle but keep it "in the dark". It a cures outside in sunlight and I bought a UV flashlight to cure it indoors. It is not 5 second stuff and as a test I tried it some Vinyl awning material.

One side stuck with PVC plumbers glue, the other side stuck with the Kafuter. The Plumbers glue works by solvent evaporation and 24 hours needed for a full cure, the Kafuter is UV and cures by sunlight or portable UV source. So the only real adavntage is if you are reparing an awning the Kafuter does it more quickly provided that the material lets the UV into the join.... However for this material melding it with the clear plumbers glue gives a better peel strength....

Generally it does a far better job than the 5 second stuff.

Looks like a cheaper alternative to the little 'tubes'

I have been using the original purchase for a while know and I am very happy with the results

better than the liquid and powder job , works better , and no mess

and have just purchased 3 new ones , bulk buy , as you never know when they will run out

maybe the Kafuter , definitely cheaper , buy 2 , and reorder 1 when the first one runs out

I am about to purchase some more of the UV light activated glue

I have used the little tubes and had mixed success , needs more than 5 seconds , but still OK

Does the Kafuter work as well as the little tubes , or do you recommend getting the little tubes

does not stick to all plastic , but better than rapid fix

I will buy either , but the Kafuter has more volume and I have a few UV light source thingos
