Hi There,

When I loged on today I had a message in a envelope in the header part next to the caravan & motorhame on tour part.

I opened the message and it was a scam from the USA for a $3000 holiday but was promoting time share in Olando Florida.

How come the forum is allowing this form of rip offs.

I saw something similar just then Lindsay, as I had trouble opening the forum from the direct link I went to the C&M main page. We are very familiar with these type of adverts, like "you are the millionth person click and see what you have won". I have pop ups blocked. Maybe it is part of a set of ads rotated by an outside advertising agency if C&M use one of these rather than sourcing their own chosen adverts. Just guessing.

My daughter gets similar adverts sometimes on her eBay shop and has no control of what adverts appear  :-x . EBay is double dipping by charging sellers shop and selling fees and taking adverts as well. She objects as some buyers may associate the adverts with her not eBay.

I could not replicate your issue but my access path is probably different

As it is Friday I have reported it to the Techs.

Thanks for looking into these issues nimdA. If I see anything like that again I will get a screen grab. This morning I was just trying to get onto the forum, and when I did I saw this thread. I am used to being bombarded with these sorts of adverts so tend to switch off to them.

nimdA, not the advert I saw before, but these sorts of ads are dodgy. A new member could be fooled into clicking thinking it a message from the forum.

Because I sometimes have problems with getting the forum page to open, I try going in from the main page, and the "Message" advert was on the main page just now.
