Composite Panel / Sandwich Panel in Melbourne

Post by Danjanjuc » Fri Nov 06, 2015 8:45 pm

Hi All,
I am in the planning stage of a potential caravan build. I am keen to use fibreglass sandwich panel for the construction. I am impressed with the offerings from Styromax, but they are in QLD and I am in Vic.
I have spoken with Panel Masta in Hallam. I was wondering if any other suppliers exist in Victoria???

Hi Danjanjuc,
There is a person on another forum building a fifth wheeler and he has just taken his registered chassis from Perth to Queensland to have a composite panel fitted. Sounds like a similar material to what you are talking about.

I really thought Melbourne is the capital for caravan building materials.

He is called Gmd and I must say he is over the top with everything but his fifth wheeler build will be the best of the best from what I have seen.
The following link is to the page in his thread where the composite is being fitted just stroll down until you see that section.

You may have already seen the Gmd’s posts so I may be wasting your time.

That Styromax looks so good, you would need to work out every wire and pipe that you may need to run before you order the material.

Welcome to the forum!

Hi, I've seen a van built from panels from these guys, http://www.dctech.com.au/hygienic-wall- ... g-systems/, they have a plant in Laverton. Not sure if they have cnc cutting available or not, this s where styromax are leading the way, just depends if you're willing the pay the $2500 freight bill...

Sorry try this link..
