For fishing you can go to Walkers Point village, to the south and fish off the boat ramp or go north from the CP to Theodolite Creek.

Rob,
Just got off the phone from speaking with my sister; Yamba is very busy at the moment and for the foreseeable future due to roadworks on the nearby Pacific Hwy. She suggested Iluka as well and said there are some very nice waterside CPs over there.

Thanks again Glanyard.

Won’t be going anywhere down that way for the next 3 mths at least, but would be aiming to get down there before Autumn hopefully. Iluka is also definately another possibility. There is another waterside CP that I have heard of down that way as well from a fisho, but the name escapes me at the moment…will have to go back through some old emails.
Road works on the pacific highway….what’s new. Reminds me of the M1 heading down the the Nerang river towing my boat on a Friday afternoon after work….now that’s frustrating !

Cheers
Rob

We stayed at Brooms Head a couple of years ago; it was very windy at the time so can’t really comment but it appeared that it would be a good spot in favorable conditions.
