I used to look forward to the DVD's that accompanied your magazine. Gill and Roothy were born to make make them but I'm afraid these days, with "Freddy everywhere", I rarely watch them unless I happen to be heading to the destination he is covering. I think you should get on bended knees to get "Gil and the "
Old dog" back.
Tony the "Doc".

I see Gil is writing for another magazine and I really wish (Roothy or someone similar) could do some bush cooking on the DVDs. They are very boring and the majority of them are repeats since 2009/2010. Same story same locatiojns just a different presenter - Fred and others

In agreeance with these comments. I also have written previously that to re introduce the 12volt section, caravan maintenance, new gadgets as well as the camp cooking would in my opinion renew interest in what was a good production.

I think Rob and Marg could do a better job as they did some very good presentations and cooking segments when they were on the road for the magazine.

Unfortunately, writing on here what you think about the mag is like telling a bunch of truck drivers, what is wrong with the aircraft industry

The forum has nothing to do with the magazine, if it did it would have been shut down for the number of complaints

The forum was started by the magazine people to get like minded people together talking about caravanning, but it is not run by them and i think you'll only get people who agree with what you say here

Yes, Frank, you are right but Rob and Marg being forumites as well (aren't they?) are a link don't you think?

I think you will find Roothy is off doing what he really loves, and that is the 4x4 off road stuff. He has a few irons in those fires.
Enjoyed Gil and Roothy (couple of real characters). Then followed Rob & Margs DVD/travels with great interest.
When you think about the areas Rob and Marg travelled to and the time in which they did it. I'm thinking that if it were me, I might be keen to go and do it again, but this time at my own pace and without a lot of scrutiny.
Just my opinion. :D

Hi all,

Everyone eventually moves on... Rob and I are, as Tony says, enjoying our travels mooching about where and when we want, without a timetable to meet (other than the ones we impose on ourselves if we're meeting up with friends!)

Say hello if you see us out on the road.

Marg :-)

How do we know who you are, show us a pic of your rig, or do you have stickers?

Lake Eyre is filling up and we're hoping to get up there in early May
