My husband and I are planning a trip to Central Australia, and as longtime subscribers and caravanners I think it would be totally efficient and expedient to have a searchable index either Excel compatable or in alphabetical Hard Copy of articles in Caravan and Motor Home Magazines under appropriate headings such as Towns, Places to see, Things to do along the way or use the headings on the contents page of the magazine. After "Googling" the journey from here to there you would be able to access information on the towns, etc. using such a device and avoid the endless thumbing through the many CANDMH issues we have accumulated. I imagine you already have the basis of this information and would only need an IT operative to do some cutting and pasting to achieve a wonderful - workable result (they do it for the craft magazines).

Totally agree.

Sometimes it is as easy as referencing the index of each magazine into a search engine. Not really rocket science is it.

The publishers would have all the soft copies stored somewhere.

I'll put up mi index of places and magazine numbers from about issue 57 for you in a few hours, after tea, and when I have warmed up after watching the mighty Cats have another great win!

Hi Keith,
It was done on Microsoft word 2010 version onWindows 7. If it is hard to save, open it and then save it under another name.doc, rather than a .docx file.

I have an excel file as well but it is about 25 issues behind, so it's on the to do list. Keep on watching the forum.
