Great topic you've introduced here JuJu.
Lots of good info coming out that may help others, as well as yourselves.
Good luck with your search and hope it all goes well for you.

Further investigation today has found us going for a loan at 8.71% variable for 5yrs with no insurance (we already have income protection and life insurance). The repayments are $50 a week less than the finance company offered, and the security is on the van. We have just paid off the CEO's Touareg after 6yrs and so we wont miss the money coming out of the account.

A mate of mine does vehicle financing, he has handled our past two vans and is about to do the 3rd.
They have been through Esanda Finance, while the rate on new vans isn't quite as good as new cars. At the time for us it was easier, and about the best option. And usually only takes one phone call.

You should try getting a loan when you are T.P.I. No one would touch me.I have banked with the ANZ for 50 years. When they put my details in the putter it come back with a big NO. They rang head office in Melbourne No go. Ended up with the Police Credit Union. Now with them.
