My 1992 80 series petrol landcruiser 4.5 petrol solo around town uses 22 to 23 lires per 100 (horrible ) but I love the car ..Open hwy 16 litres /100 solo ...towing the van approx 1600 klg's best of 21.8 litres/100 average 22.5 litres /100.....towing speed depending on conditions 95-100 ....Funny how my town usage is the same (nearly ) as my towing usage it has been very consistent for 8 years ...

Our winnebago does between 18 and 20 LPH depending on heavy foot or not and head/tail winds and if I am towing. Anywhere between 90 and 110 kmh
4.5 l diesel, no turbo. Does seem to run smoother with a little 2 stroke oil in it too

2010 ford Ranger just returned from Geelong Darwin Cairns and back to Geelong. 3 litre turbo manual Diesal towing a Dreamtime by Blue sky at around 2900kg.
We averaged, for the whole trip 13.87 Litres per 100k. The worst was a 17.8 with a headwind and a trial with the cruise control.
Cruise control not used again. We sat on 85-95kph, and towed in 5th as the car was screaming for the extra gear however changed back very early in any significant inclines.
We were thrilled with both the tug and the van as this was our first trip which unfortunately ended today!!!!
Cheerz all,
Deb

My Ranger is pulling a 2.7 tonne van and we average around 12-14 litres per 100klms.
BUT most importantly, I was given this advice a while back, if you are going to worry about litres to mileage and are always trying to calculate the usage, then you may as well stay home. Worrying about stuff like that will ruin your travels and cause you stress. Just hit the open road and enjoy all that comes with it, leave your troubles at home
Cheers and happy travels
Dave.
