This appears to be a really good deal.

12volt adaptor is $17.00 extra.

We've got the same TV without the DVD player - very happy.

(no connection with product or distributors in any way)

regards

Not even Friday!

I hit your link and got 'Service Temporarily Unavailable'. Wonder if they stopped the promotion?

Cheers ...

Scol.

Hi all,
Interesting too that Kogan is now getting the 24 inch screen to run on 12 volts as well.Previously you could only get up to 22 inch, and that is what I bought, Bugger!!!

Diesel, I can't imagine any significant limit to a 12 volt TV screen size. The TV needs 'watts' not 'volts'. Three days ago I bought a 25" Palsonic and a condition was it would run on 12 volts. I had a think whilst in the shop and concluded that it would make sense for 'world' manufacturers to make a standard 12 volt unit then supply it with a cheap power-pack that matched the country of use mains power. Much easier/cheaper to tinker with the external power-pack than the TV innards.

Hi Old Techo, thanks mate,
Quite right of course, and well put, there is certainly no reason why more manufacturers should not go that way. Kogan seem to be on the RV gravy train and are marketing to us a lot more than others. I guess if main streamers all did it the costs would mount up even if it means just a few connections at the rear of the set. Some are putting them in and then making you pay for the connecting cable! Better than nothing though. And with the new led sets with a small band around the edges a bigger picture set will often fit where a older 19 inch unit did. My 22 inch unit is the same external size as the older 19 inch one that I had.
