A little more detail for Queensland residents travelling interstate:-
Under the Community Ambulance Cover, all Queensland residents are automatically covered for pre-hospital ambulance treatment and transport Australia-wide.
If you are a Queensland resident and you receive an invoice for pre-hospital emergency medical care provided to you by another State/Territory Ambulance Service, you are requested to forward the invoice, along with evidence that you were a Queensland resident at the time of the emergency interstate treatment/transport to:

Image If you are a member of Ambulance Cover with SA Ambulance Service and require ambulance transport whilst visiting interstate, you will be fully covered for all emergency and medically justified non-emergency transport, except where a third party is responsible.

This is the wording from the S.A. Ambulance cover hope this helps S.A 4umites.
