A GPS that will operate Oziexplorer is also great. Very easy to create way points on a computer and then upload to your GPS. Very good non-city maps are available to use with Oziexplorer.
But then again I am a map nut.

Cheers Danny

Get onto the free camps website and you will be able to check which brands and models free camps can be downloaded to.
Regards
Sid

Sorry Rod the S30 doesn't, I've got one and tried to get the update for it but it wont do the freecamps, though it does have the rest areas.
You'll need to look at the MY50 or above.
Frank

yep, MY50 is a good idea.
a friend of mine has got one, and thinks it very nice.
S30 may not meet your needs.

Dont buy the MY50. I have got one and it is hopeless. It took us round and round in Melbourne trying to find Waterfront place, in the end the police pulled us over to ask what we were doing.
On our current trip to Karumba it got lost in Townsville, was repeatedly losing the road to Karumba, telling us to make a U turn then telling us to follow the road for 20k.
This afternoon coming into Charters Towers it could not find Mt Leyshon rd. Told us to turn right before we got to Charters Towers, then after 2k told us to make a U turn. The worst buy I have ever made.
