Gooday Jedo As far as I can see, this $300 needs to be spent before Wednesday night. If we were to take advantage of the offer, we would be buying more than we need, just to reach the $300 mark. My Nissan takes 65ltr from empty, The saving in my case would be $26. I can't see the economy in overspending to save $26. As I said, there are many who would get a big advantage from this offer. Those who normally do their weekly shopping at these stores and have a $150/week spend would be fine. We don't fit that category. We don't shop there regularly. We don't spend $150 weekly there. Anne reckons we're better off by not shopping there. That suits me. Now, I say again, "This deal's not much value to me." But if it is to you, Great.

Does the 40c offer apply to purchases of grog...we drink a bottle of red every night and could easily buy $300 of red in one go

We live at Broken Hill and get the 5 oclock news on 7 direct from Adelaide with Greame Goodings and that female newsreader (sorry - can't rem name). If my memory serves me: 10c if you spend $100, 20c if you spend $200... and on to if you spend $400 or more it's 40c... They also did interviews with pollys and the public... Jedo

Hi, Lance, Like you we don't shop with Coles or Woolies much. We reckon if you shop at Aldi you are quids in every week. My wife is a bit fussy but she reckons most of their stuff is great! Great for the wallet too. These two major companies are having too much control with their supermarkets, petrol outlets and hotels!

We dont spend that much in one shop either and think it is false economy if you have to spend more to make it up to required amount. We tend to not shop at the 2 big supermarkets as we reckon you always spend more there anyway. We have fuel watch here in WA and it is great, when you need fuel you check it out on line and find your closest cheapest service station. Mainy try to use Gull and Peak as they are Aussie.
