Post Are You A Lone Traveller ?
Having been a sole camper traveller for about 20 years odd some time ago, starting with tents, then a home made Mitsubishi people mover (sliding roof) campervan followed by a Mazda E2000 Campervan, I thought some of our sole travellers may be interested in this article, especially the ladies, see;

All Caravan/Motorhome Clubs that I know of welcome solo's as well and although not a member of this particular club I believe that the Motorhome and Campervan Club of Australia also have a dedicated solo's group for those with motorhomes and campervan's, see;

Happy Travelling !!

Post Bill and Dawn re Solo touring
Yes I can understand the single camper and the reasons thereoff are many and varied.
It certainly does not mean the relationship is only so, so. On the contrary the trust in the partnership is very strong and the reasons are many. No we have not gone on single trips yet but if the ocasion did arise that one or the other does not want to go for whatever reason, and does not object the other partner going off on their own, to me that only shows trust in one another, it certainly does not mean a weaknes in the relationship and that the partner going on their own is going go off with anyone else for whatever reason. And if the lone traveler meets up with someone else of the oposite sex and gets on with the other lone traveler there is nothing wrong with having a meal together and or watching a movie on the TV. What of it, when it is over they just say thank you for your company and good night... If a relationship can't stand a plutonic friendship for either party then there is no trust in the relationship and neither should have gone on their own.
Bill and Dawn :rolleyes:

G'day Sandy,
We were astounded at the number of people travelling on their own and would say 80% were women, we take our hats off to them for doing it. All enjoyed their time out there and NONE regretted a moment of it.

Post Solo's
And there are those that do just that Bill and Dawn, I have done just that when my wife was working and I had retired and travelled mid week.......also gave the van a workout instead of sitting rotting in the yard! lol!

Yes Frank and Brenda, I take my hat off to the ladies in particular who hit the road on their own and more power to them........and dare I say it, there are a number who are better at towing/parking vans than I am !

Happy and safe travels whether you are travelling duo or solo!
