Post by rainy » Fri Jun 03, 2011 3:57 pm

our caravan club is having an international dinner night ,bearing in mind we will be in the van
has anyone any nice recipes something to have as a main dish and also a sweet please ,can be any country
I thought I would ask here as I have no idea what to make as my contribution
we have an oven in the van plus I also have teh usual cooking implements and there will be a camp kitchen
thanks in advance

thanks hawkes hideaway
thats a hard one to answer as I hadnt thought of any particular country
I do like italian but have a few things I could make from italy ,but I think most others will do italian
I have looked trough all my books and nothing has jumped out at me as I was trying to think of something a bit different
so possibly most countries would be fine
I dont want to put you to much trouble though
but am able and game enough to cook most dishes

How about an American hamburger? ie no pineapple
Chinese, stirfry, anything you like can be done in the van
Japanese- buy some sushi
Swedish- meatballs in a tomato sauce
French- just make a tiny dish of anything you like and stuff it with anchovies

Hope this is a little bit helpful, have a fun night

Try German cooking, Sauerkraut und Bradwurst. Try GOOGLE for instructions, my German is not too good after sixty years of neglect.
