Replacement plastic leg ends for the Coleman striped chairs
Hello All,
We have had a pair of these industry standard chair when we travel in the van.
The plastic leg ends are wearing away due to the chairs being moved on the concrete caravan park slabs, you can now hear the metal tubing being worn away as the chairs are moved.
I contacted Coleman in Australia to see if replacement leg ends were available as a spare part, no luck there.
Has anyone come up with a solution for replacing the plastic feet?
One thought I had was to glue some rubber pieces to the the underside of the feet.
Do you have any better solutions?

Re: Replacement plastic leg ends for the Coleman striped cha
Thanks for the tip Cyclone,
I called into Bunnings this afternoon, they have plenty of feet for round or square legs, but nothing like the shape to suit the Coleman chair's legs.
I will have to keep looking around, maybe I could fashion some from hardwood & set them into the legs, similar to the original plastic ones.

Re: Replacement plastic leg ends for the Coleman striped cha
If the chair feet is a rectangular profile usually a round Rubber foot with a internal diameter about the difference between the long and short sides of the chair foot can be encouraged to fit after warming in hot water, easer if after starting Rubber foot force on using a rubber hammer, the round foot will distort to suite the leg profile, job done.

You can get them but its a matter of finding who stocks them. This mob make the feet but you have to buy 400! https://www.essentracomponents.com.au/i ... ory_id=116

We had the same problem, went to a store that sold them with the receipt and they replaced both chairs with new ones. Bill
