For those who use it and for those intending to use Nappy San equivalent in toilets instead of that foul smelling, enviromentally unfriendly chemical, here are the 3 Nov 12 prices: Coles brand 1 Kg with 25.7% Sodium Percarbonate-$7.99.
Aldi 1 Kg with 27% Sodium Percarbonate-$3.99
Aldi 1 Kg with 30% Sodium Percarbonate-$4.50
I don't know where the Coles stuff is made but the Aldi one is made in Australia.

Hi glanyard,
Thanks for the info.
Why use Nappy San, Nappy Treatment is around $3 anyway, well the Woolworths home brand is.

I am no chemist but Nappy Treatment does the same job at Nappy San.

I use the lid full as recommended for a nappy bucket for the Thetford - and add more in a day or two if needed.

Hi Glanyard,
On the Nappy Treatment Plus container Active Ingredient: Sodium Percarbonate 346g/kg, so I guess that is 34.6% of Sodium Pertcarbonate!

JR is on the money with content and is the most I've come across. Keep an eye on that as even the name brand does not have as much as generics.
I've posted the recipe for loo juice elsewhere which works for me, here it is again

LOO JUICE
Add 2 measures (inside container lid) of Woolies Home Brand Nappy Treatment Plus (Napisan works well too) into a jug with 1.5L of warm water and stir until dissolved. Add a squirt of Morning Fresh liquid detergent - this helps to keep the inside of the cassette clean. Also add a few drops of Eucalyptus oil

Place the empty cassette into it's receptacle and pour about 3/4 of the mix down the toilet with the vent fully open, then close the vent & add the remainder of the mix and allow to sit in the toilet until it's used again. Flush normally. This will assist in lubricating the seals of the vent.

Adding a squirt of Morning Fresh to the flush tank (after filling it with fresh water) will help keep everything clean.

If you don’t have a flush tank use a squirt bottle - half a cap of nappy cleaner, squirt of Morning fresh and a few drops of Eucalyptus oil and top up with warm water to dissolve. Just give the bowl a squirt after flushing.

Note: Some people prefer to use 2 dessertspoons (1/2 capful) of nappy treatment to a small amount of water (2 cups of water) in the bottom tank. Most agree that a squirt of dishwashing liquid in the flush tank helps to keep everything clean.

happy emptying ;-)

cheers

I use plain water to flush when at home and likewise in the caravan. If desired, a bit of the sodium percarbonate nappy power in the top tank will keep everything clean and the pan surface 'slippery'.
