Post Cheaper Than A New Fridge Door Shelf
Hi there,

The top of the slot in our fridge door shelf was obviously the weakest point & it broke whilst travelling on a very bumpy dirt road... (See first link)

To repair it, I used 10 mm flat aluminium on the inside & 10 mm angle on the underside. The “Pop Rivets” on the ends secure the flat & angle strips together. (See second link)

The shelves were re installed & secured to the door with “Stainless Steel” screws through the top of the aluminium brackets on the inside of the shelf.

Even though only one shelf broke, I have done the same mod to all three shelves.

The shelf which broke is the cheapest to replace at $76-00.

Tar Trekka.

Any day above the ground is a great day.
