box fan fitted into the four seasons hatch over the bed - lovely gentle breeze on warm nights saves using the noisy air-con

Converted the hanging space in my side wardrobe to three shelves. A lot more useful and the one good shirt I take hangs in the wife's side.

Adapted a couple of click on hose fittings with blanking plugs and fit them on front tap and water point whilst traveling/storing. Prevents ingress of mud/dirt and pesky insects.

Re: Whats your most useful & simple van addition or retro fi
In getting ready for our long trip, I have just had a medium size tool box and a gennie box fitted to the rear bumper bar, plus 120 watt solar on roof. Save me a lot of effort and time unpacking and packing etc. Extra pole carrier under the van. Our dining table was to large so this month I cut approx 1/3 of the length of the table and hinged same. So we can drop the unwanted part when not needed, and boy!!!! does it make a differenced to the room space in the kitchen area. Already have many of the extras mentioned. And Yes!!! just like the old ad for Amex goes, I would never travel without my sole mate who just knows when to bring me back to earth, when I stray and get a little lost. Jay&Dee

heated towel rail in the ensuite - keeps towels dry and a great place to air clothes

Re: Whats your most useful & simple van addition or retro fi
We have done a number of renovations, some simple, some more complicated.
As far as simple ones go I love the small chrome rack we added in the ensuite on the wall next to the basin. Its just the perfect size for pump packs of soap, moisturiser and sunscreen to fit securely in it so they are always at hand and can stay out when we travel.

I added a magnetic knife rack to the wall above the kitchen sink. It frees up bench space, and the knives are always handy. (I put them in the pot drawer for travel though. I could imagine knives flying around the van causing havoc on that road between St George and Cunnamulla...!) Marg
