Been 'caravanning' for a few years. Had a basic camping/trailer outfit for over twenty years before.
Currently have a wind-up camper/caravan towed by a Colorado.
Like the 'outback' roads.

Hi Fingal and welcome. I like the dusty tracks too....
I now have to note that I cannot accept owners ship, truth, quality, or veracity, of articles I may quote off the internet.

Thanks Dieseltojo. The last 'dusty' tracks we travelled were the Strzelecki and Oodnadatta. Great experiences.

Re: Fingal
Getting off the bitumen often leads to unexpected experiences, mostly good, but for some.......not so good.
We much prefer dirt/gravel roads for a numbrer of reasons, the first being that lots don't prefer them and it's quieter out there.
It's darker at night, but it can be noisier though with ambient sounds seeming louder.
Now aren't they 2 good reasons to leave the tarmac
Ohh yeah, good to have ya with us Fingal, drop in to the Travel forum and tell us about some of your travels.

Thanks, lance. What makes you think I'm not the patron saint of Scotland?
