Post Depression.
I was so depressed last night thinking about the cyclone, wars, climate change, jobs I'll have to do soon, my savings, the recent floods throughout Australia, retirement funds, etc. I called the Suicide Hotline.

I got a call centre in Pakistan and when I told them I was suicidal, they got all excited, asking if I could drive a truck.

I could see the funny side Diesel. But with what's happening both in your area and on the Coast at present it seemed a bit close to home.
Cheers

Lighten up folks - it was a joke.

After all the misery and heartbreak I have seen over the past month or so I think a little bit of humour and frivolity helps to deaden the pain a bit.

Some sort of Mexican tucker I think DT.

I didn't have a lot to laugh about a couple of weeks ago when I watched my old mate sitting on an upturned bucket looking at the spot where his car, caravan and 2 sheds used to be - we found the car half buried under a pile of logs mud and boulders, but that was it. Everything he owned was gone and at 85 years of age it's a bit late to start again. I'm in Newcastle at the moment and my old mate phoned me last night just to tell me a sick joke he had remembered - he's lost everything and he can still have a laugh.

It's the true Aussie spirit I reckon - you can't change the past, but you can certainly stuff up the present by worrying about the future.
