External Mirrors
Hi Guys n Gals,
I am wondering what people are using now for extension mirrors when towing our vans. I have something similar to the Trojan ones that hook over the bailey channel rubber next to the glass then hook under the bottom of the door and a ratchet winds it up tight. My mirrors no longer stay in adjustment and I think that the best thing to do is buy a complete new mirror set up and I have been happy with the ones I have but sometimes new ideas maybe better. The only minor issue I had with this style was the strap vibrating at certain speeds, but I sorted that out by putting a twist in the strap.
I drive a VE Commodore wagon so the mirrors will need to suit this application.
Looking forward to any and all replies as good advise.
Cheers Cobba

Re: External Mirrors
Gooday Cobba.
You say your mirrors no longer stay in adjustment, can you tell why ?
Is it the strap stretching, the mirror head moving or are the arms loose ?
The Aussie Truck mirror are a good setup in my eyes and generally don't give much trouble.

Re: External Mirrors
I've got a set of Aussie truck mirrors and they are the best I've come across, but not for Isuzu D-Max; won't fit.

Re: External Mirrors
G'Day back at ya!
Thanks for the replies I will have a look at them.
The issue I have with what I got are the mirror heads no longer can be tightened up to stay in place and simply drop out of adjustment. Straps and brackets are perfect.

Re: External Mirrors
Just went looking for these Aussie Truck Mirrors on FleaBay but not found. Same on a carvan accessorie site.
Found Camec, Kakadoo, Trojan and Leisurequip but no Aussie Truck Mirrors.
Can you please advise where these can be found to look at?

Re: External Mirrors
Thanks for that. These are very similar if not the same as the others I mentioned. I noticed on that site that replacement heads were available but had issues with the link so I will go back and open it by typing into my search engine directly.
Thanks again for the help.

Re: External Mirrors
Just tried it myself.
Could be an Anti-Virus thing.
Mine won't allow me to progress as it is not a secure site.
there is a phone number there, so it might be worth a ring to find a local retailer?
regards
Gerry

Re: External Mirrors
You could also try "caravans plus" as well. Have bought quite a bit of stuff from them & have found them very good.
