In todays Chipping Norton Stake race in Sydney there were just 7 starters.
But!!!! Did you happen to notice that of the 7 starters Chris Waller is listed as the trainer of 6 of them.
Only other horse outside of the Waller Stable was Happy Clapper trained by P.Webster.
So without the Waller other horses it would have been a 2 horse context.
I know this is a silly Question, but would the other Waller jockeys be under instructions to allow Winx to win.
Nay!!! she was at her best and what a champion she is.
The owners say only 2 more races to go.
I wonder will they consider giving her a crack at her 5 th Cox Plate in October.
My memory goes back to Comic Court winning the 1950 Melbourne Cup so I say with out any reservations she is certainly the best racehorse I have seen in those 70years.
Not a bad bargain, as she cost somewhere around $230.000, and todays win was $344.000, so investment returned plus today.
As you would know her 23 group one races and her prize winning dollars are almost $23 million 500 hundred thousand dollars. What a great return on the orignal investment.
Those dollars equate to a gross return by 100 times the sale price..
WINX....you bloody beauty.

I forgot to add that Winx has now won 31 races in a row, which of course includes the 23 group one victories.

Would have to be one of Australian Greatest Hero in any field of endeavour.
How would you like to be on Hugh Bowman riding fees. He is tipped to gain $800,000 after she wins the QE stakes in April.
Not to mention what kick backs he would be getting from the Happy Owners.
If the owners buy another horse, a good name would be ''Happy Owners.''
Now for a Unhappy owner.
My father owned a thorough bred and he was successful in gaining the naming rights as
'' Queen of the Turf.''
Only he forget to tell her that was to be a Champion.
She never made it onto the track, due to bad fetlocks etc etc.
But that is what gambling is all about.
