How good is this thread. I knew nothing about shingles shots. I know a few people that have had it. Would not wish it on an enemy
Will look into It.

Don't think you have any problems if you have never had chicken pox which leaves me out.

The advice is one should have the shingles shot whether they remember or do not remember if they ever had chicken pox.

I was lead to believe that it did not matter if you had had Chickenpox as a child, shingle virus can be contracted by anyone. I may be incorrect.
How is that new Y62 Sid?

I never used to worry about the flue shot either until one year I was so darn sick fair dinkum death would have suited me fine.

As for the pneumonia one I had that too on Drs advice as it is a once only. Poor Mrs has had a couple of bouts of shingles and tells me it is very very painful worse than having a baby....funny I never felt that either.

We have had the flu and the pneumonia shots.

After reading this thread i had a talk to my doc about a shingle shot and she said it was a good idea, also being over 70 it was free, so i had one.

No worries.

DT,

I had my pneumonia shot yesterday and scheduled for a shingles shot in 4 weeks.

They demand a 4 week wait between shots as an alergy gap.
