Bought our first Motorhome
Very excited by our new purchase of a Motorhome. Had a few health issues that stopped me from towing the caravan but loved the travelling and the people you meet. Had to get rid of my Jeep (which I did not want to do but too much money tied up) and now the proud owners of a 2008 Winnebago with an Electric Drop Down Bed.

So many advantages going that way when circumstances change.
We did the same about 3yr ago, although to a campervan rather than motorhome.
Park, pull out the chairs, and setup's done.
You're going to love the convenience I think.

The drop-down bed seems a great space-saving idea
Does the strongest bladder take the back spot?
Any worries about rolling out of bed?
How do you get in/out?

My Wife gets the outside OT and there is a ladder but due to advancing years I have had one of these made but only with two steps as my wife has a bad leg.

Looks very nice Stuartandjan.
Probably get you into the town parking as well.

Very nice that drop down bed sure gives you some space.
Did six weeks in NZ with a motorhome and some time in Europe, yes I would change over if circumstances were to force the issue.

Hi JR
Just back from Mundubbera , took us nearly 8 hours and 3 tank fills of diesel. The stupid computer put me in to Limp mode and a tad over 400 klm at 60 klh is not the best day spent. Had to come home through Dalby because of a fatal at Ban Ban Springs.
This is the first problem I have had with the Motor Home in 5 years so I guess I should not complain too much.
I like your Rig, you will not be sorry, I find it much easier towing my Suzuki than hauling a Caravan.
As soon as we get the MH back from the doctors we will be off again to who knows where.
Cheers
Graham

Stuartandjan,
the only problem I can think of is if [like ME] one of you likes to go to bed early n watch tv,the other likes sitting up watching dvds or tv..
in your instance you cant have both. BUT that's a minor thing to settle..
Its a beautifull home..enjoy.. Happy touring.... Rod
