Updated Caravan Parks in Darwin

Post by hmff » Thu Aug 07, 2014 7:01 pm

We're planning ahead for next year and would like to hear from anyone who stayed in a Darwin park this year. We preferrably don't want to be too far out but are willing to explore all options. We've been tossing up between Lee Point, Hidden Valley, Freespirit or Oasis. We want to stay about 4 weeks.

Hi hmff, we stayed 15 days at the oasis in Virginia. It's a smallish park with nice grass sites at the bottom end of the park. The park manager, Andrew helped us on site and it was an enjoyable stay. Don't expect Big4 standards, but it's a quiet peaceful park about 20-30 mis drive out of Central Darwin. Some of the sites at the top end of the park are not level, and some are cramped. The site we were allocated was excellent & we enjoyed our stay. The amenities block is pretty basic but is functional & clean. There is a smallish pool & camp kitchen. All in all it was a good place to base ourselves for our first trip to Darwin
