Post State government dumps camping fees
Its well known by now, but I thought It good to post the camps involved as there are some really nice areas among them. :)
But you also have to look at the areas of choice. I like the Gippsland Lakes sites as we have 20 kays of great surf between golden beach and Sea Spray that is just wonderful, with 19 decent camping spots. Mostly nill facilities which suits me fine. Some have pit toilets, mostly dirty......

Campers have been handed an early Easter gift with the state government dumping camping fees for more than 500 basic camp sites.
The former Napthine government introduced a $13 fee for basic camp sites, as well as increases to fees for other types of camp grounds in national parks, in a bid to boost maintenance.
On Thursday Environment Minister Lisa Neville said the fee for 536 camp sites at 70 camp grounds had been axed. People who have already paid for Easter camping will be entitled to a refund.

Parks with basic free camp sites:
Cape Conran
Croajingolong
Baw Baw
Gippsland Lakes
Mount Samaria
Broken Boosey
Lake Eildon
Cathedral Range
Wyperfeld
Lerderderg
Great Otway
Cobboboonee
Grampians
Little Desert
French Island
Bunyip
Kurth Kiln
Mornington Peninsula

There you go!!!

Not only is Victoria by far the most progressive State when it comes to major sporting events.
It is now the most aggressive State when it comes to Aussies leisure activities.
All the other States should take note.
After all the N. Parks belongs to us Aussies.
And further more. There is no way that overseas investors or companies can own them.
Great news Victoria. Well done.
