Re: Along the Murray from Albury to South Australia
Thanks for all the replies - including the great photos.
Due to the bad weather in Victoria we decided to skip the Albury then along the Murray section and headed direct to Mildura. We had three lovely days at the Buronga Caravan Park on the banks of the Murray.
Then we stopped at Morgan and Peterborough before having five great days at Wilpena Pound and the Flinders Ranges.
On the way back we stopped at Burra (a very interesting former copper mining town) for two nights, then Balranald and Gundagai (Tourist Park) before returning home to Sydney.
We will certainly be returning another time for a leisurely trip along the Murray.

When are you planning to go Jill? We will be leaving Sydney mid February to early March at this stage, may be able to catch up along the way.

Rutherglen has a lovely small park. Lots of wineries to visit. Short drives to Beechworth and Chiltern and both worth a visit. Yarrawonga has a big park on the Murray River and has access to good water, fishing and also golf courses.
