Post Insurance
Has anybody had any experience of dealing with APIA (Aust Pensioners Insurance Agency) for either caravan or motor vehicle insurance. Was the experience good or bad. Thank you in advance for your replies.

If these non tech questions are ok here then why even bother with sub forums at all?

There are borderline questions here all the time. This one is clearly a General Topic. But if the admin is to busy to cleanup then so be it.

There was time when this tech talk section was pretty good.

Hi dandd,

I can't tell you what they are like, I never got past the quote.

Far too expensive for house, contents & car, so caravans will probably be the same.

Tar Trekka.

Any day above the ground is a great day.

Hi dandd, I'm like Tar Trekka. Got quotes, car and caravan, way higher than others, went no further with them.

Ended up - car NRMA, caravan CIL.

Post Re: Insurance
Dandd,

I now insure Car, house and Caravan through APIA. House $150 cheaper, Caravan and Car both $100 cheaper than what it was costing me.

Please also note that as I now have multple policies so I get 10% of each policy and that is reflected above.

I have never had a claim but do know someone who has on their house and they got their tradespeople and fixed it. No problems.

We wrote off a Parramount Classic 20 foot van between Moree and Narrabri NSW about 9 months ago. APIA were fantastic paid out full agreed Van price and
$ 2000.oo in contents just had to list contents and approximate prices
