That price seems pretty good Jay & dee, it cost us $1500 about 6 years ago for a cabin etc and our van was only 18ft long. Our new van is 21ft long so similar to yours, that makes it look fairly attractive for us to make another trip over there next year or so.

Yeah ! I reckon that price wasn’t too bad considering you had a 22′ van plus a cruiser plus o’nite cabin…I would imagine it would be a lot cheaper to go daytime with, say, a 16′ van and a smaller tug..They go on the overall length.
The extra cost of the bigger rig adds a bit more weight to the debate about whether it’s cheaper or not in the long run to buy a large, heavier rig with en-suite etc. to be self contained for free camping. I have long suspected that it’s not.

Jock :)

I have just been reminded by the Dee, that we paid some like that 3 years ago with a small rig in total.
But it is still on our " bucket List " to revisit the small Isle.
Jay&Dee.
After all it rained when we were at Cradle Mt and always cloud cover over Mt Wellington. For some reason, we missed out on seeing the Gorge at Launceston.
Good enough excuse to go back again.
