Post 2 Door upright fridge/freezer
Ok, Ive done a search but so many pages to go through, mainly about portable fridges. I currently have a small 3 way fridge and want to replace it with 12 volt 2 door model. Just need some feedback on different brands models etc and if anyone has purchased a cheapy from Ebay. Looking for something around 120-150 litres. On looking at Ebay, fridges go for between 600 bucks to whatever but, don't believe the recommended retail price they quote.

G'day Gaz,

Mate, i believe the 120 - 150 ltr models are only in a single door.
I had to buy a new fridge in Jan this year and purchased this fridge in the link below;

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dometic-150l ... 3a722f9f5e

These guys were extremely good to use and the delivery was prompt.

Only yesterday I purchased a Truma hot water system and a Smev cook top from them and it was delivered to my door today.

They do have there own internet shop as well:

http://www.greenrv.com.au

If you look at there items on Ebay, they DO deliver interstate, I find it is good to see the item on ebay, then ring them and purchase it over the phone.

They will sell over the phone for the same ebay price.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

PeterM.

Nice fridge Pete but, too wide for the van door. There is two door fridges on Ebay that will fit but the quality is unknown.

Why don't you look at a Vitrifrigo fridge, same as ours

Good fridge

We ordered ours with the van, and since then I have added another two PC type fans.
Both of which I have connected through a themo switch which I mounted on the head of the fridge compressor.
Like a lot of vans, I didn't think the ventilation was enough so adding the fans has increased air flow around the condenser. In real hot weather this works a treat.
I have also replaced the bottom plastic shelf in our fridge (240 ltr) with a Stainless Steel shelf I had made up.

You will find most fridges are too wide to go through the door. You generally have to remove a window or for pop-tops, lift the lid.

Did you get your old fridge out the door? Maybe you may have to replace it with the same size.
