The future of this forum

Post by nimdA » Tue Feb 05, 2019 10:06 am

Hi members. As you know we have been trying to get clear direction from EMG management as to the future of this forum. So far the only advice forthcoming is the forum will continue for the foreseeable future. As that means different things to different people we have pressed for a more definite timeframe. If and when we get a better response it will be posted here asap.

Cheers

Hi members. It has been quite difficult getting any decision from EMG management. Today we received verbal assurance that this forum would continue to operate for the next 6 months. After that would be subject to review. Also mentioned was the 4wdaction magazine and forum. As long as that magazine continues to be published it will help the future of both their forum and ours.

Cheers

Thanks, Clancy. :)
I think all of the members really need this outlet otherwise they would go to an inferior one.

I tend to look at this forum once or twice a day – and note that at most times there are many visitors. Some are possibly looking for an alternative that is well moderated (as this one is).

Nevertheless not many join it.

Is it worth looking further to find out why? (I personally find it more complex than most, for example have only noticed this thread).

The problem is not what people do not know, it is what they think they know that simply isn’t true.

We would want to see this forum continue along the similar lines as at present.
We have certainly learned heaps from other forum members and hopefully we have helped others with our posts and ideas.

This is the beauty of the internet where we are able to interact.

I’d love to see a facility of this forum where there is a button you can press that shows the unread posts since your last visit. Myswag and 4×4 Earth have that and it’s a fantastic time saver.

There is… and if you use this as a shortcut it’ll do what you want also.
