Who Is Online

Post by Lance » Thu Dec 28, 2017 4:55 pm

Picked up from another thread I had a poke about……..

http://candm.com.au/forum/viewonline.php?sg=1

Interesting to see a Guest replying to a thread.

That doesn’t mean the guest is ACTUALLY replying, just that they may have hit the reply button only to be told/discover that they don’t have permission to do that! ;-) It’s handy for the admin to see which guest is actually trying to do what… a guest continually trying to DO things is often of significantly more concern than the guest who’s an eternal looker, checking out & reading things all the time! :???:

Peter,

I just tested that too and it seems to be the case.

As a guest I am allowed to see and hit the reply button and that takes me to the log-in page. I guess from an on-line real-time stats perspective I am actually replying, just that I am then reminded to log-in.

If I was the designer I would not make the reply button visible to guests but maybe that is harder to do.

Does it matter if some one is looking in; they might find it interesting enough to join us. Oops unless this is the start of WW3.
