Seems that my PM facility is not working……OT ! are you listening?…Have sent you several pm’s without a response….I rec’d your lengthy one re the Cancer issue and I replied in like manner but I dont think you rec’d it or the subsequent ones since.—Can you confirm please.
Anyone else having problems with the PM .
G’day Jock,

No PMs from you but some from other members, so my PM receive is OK.

When you send a PM what evidence do you have it went? Is it in your outbox?

Can you send a PM to other members?
Dont have any evidence that it’s gone……Noticed when I press “submit” it comes back at me as “Preview” .

Lance…many thanks..got your PM O.K…. have sent a response…let me know if you get it o.k….

I think there is something wrong at my end. Getting a bit sick of the whole thing….I spent, literally hours typing up a lengthy pm ( with my limited, two finger typing skills) only to see it disappear into hyper space somewhere….
Again…absolutely hate the new format.

Jock, you probably checked and/or noticed but when you got the preview did you notice any red error message? I tried to send one with two emojis in it but got an error message at the top of it to say I needed to input three. Added another and away it went. Not saying you needed more but just in case you missed it as I nearly did.

Jock,

Are you saying that the PM to me went only to ‘preview’ but the one to Lance went OK and is in your Outbox or Sent?

I am quite thankful for your efforts but only partially sympathetic as I have advised here quite often to compose anything that is longer than a para or two in a word processor or text editor, then copy/paste into the forum.

By doing this off-line prep you will not become a victim of black holes and also have a spell check opportunity.

Jeff, I am wondering if it because I have cleared all history and cookies in an attempt to free up and speed up this decrepit old iPad 2.

Ha ha quite likely Rob. Had an iPad 3 until recently when I gave it to my lovely wife (aren’t I thoughtful?) and bought a 10.5” Pro (lucky me?) which is like a rocket ship in comparison.

There you go again O.T……I wouldn’t have a clue how to “copy/paste’……Be that as it may, I have sent Lance a PM and got an acknowledgement of receipt.
I’ll send you another one now… PM me back if you get it.

Jock :)

G’day Hank,

No downtime for me. Just quiet I think.

Maybe coz it has been a few days of sport, and I don’t mean the Qld elections
