Please a bit less of Fred

Post by gwb » Tue Sep 22, 2015 3:45 pm

Now Fred is editor again could he please put a bit more scenery in his photos and a bit less of him and his tug and his van. Fred you are probably a very nice fellow but a little less of you and more interesting topics. Could we also go back to doing proper caravan road tests.

My spelling and grammar policewoman recons they could do with a propper editor, or at least get someone to proof read the articles.

I’ll pay that one.
However I am not a paid editor and have big plumber’s fingers that often hit the wrong keys.

Here we go again, Shooting the bloody messenger.
It is all very well to sit back in your lounge chair or camp chair and criticize FRED for the excellent work he is providing in firstly the magazines and then the DVD.
Without the input from the experts like Fred, one would not have the joy of reading and learning from this talented man.
Some one has to edit and plan and inform, for the magazine to go to print.
DO YOU WANT TO DO THE JOB.?
I am guessing that if you did then there would be thousands of complaints on your ability to perform better than Fred.
Now I am one, firstly to agree that the forum is for freedom of speech and comments.
Hence my thoughts.
The Magazine has improved beyond doubt and I have just continued my subs for the benefit of enjoying the comments from the man under the HAT.
Keep up the excellent work Fred.

From a great admirer of the C&M mag and web site

Hi,

Jay I tend to agree with your comments re the magazine, always makes me wonder why others use a free forum provided by the magazine to complain about the DVD etc most of which is not constructive.
I have been a long term subscriber and still enjoy both items each month or so, but as with everything some are better than others.
That’s life….I think even if the DVD or mag was perfect for one, someone else would find a problem with content, presenter etc.
As a caravanner who still has to work and has only the regulation 4 weeks per year I like to see all the different places that one day I/we hope to go and see and the DVD is a voyeuristic travel medium for us.

Cheers AL
