Very neat job. That should give you peace of mind.
When locked, I don't think the windows are any less secure than most of the other brands available. The fact that they managed to break 2 locks & still not gain entry before being disturbed, may be evidence of this.
The grills are a great idea & now you can sleep or leave your mates, with the windows wide open, without fear of intrusion.

I did not make any further contact with ptnuske so I am not sure what he had.
I did acquire a copy of a document which explains the process of replacing the screens with black mesh which I understand should not be subject to shrinking and have the same issues with insects. If you are interested, let me know & I will send you the link.
