Post Dometic RM4601
I just wanted to take a moment to provide some good feedback, as I know sometimes people are more willing to take the time to say negative stuff online than good stuff.
We've got Dometic RM4601 double door (184L) in our Roadstar Vacationer, and it's been fantastic the whole time we've had it. Always reliable, and a decent size which means we're able to stock up and set up in the middle of nowhere for a while if we like.
Very happy with our van and Dometic fridge :D

Good to Hear Michael,

We too are very happy with our 4601. We were quite specific when we ordered our Traveller that the fridge must be installed as per Dometic instructions, and it was.

The fridge has been running since we got the van 3 years ago except for defrost time and is still on it's original 230v element. the 12 volt one gave out last year and had to be replaced.

last time I checked during the hot weather the inside of the van was at 43 deg and the fridge was 2.2 deg on a setting of 2/5

I have no added fans so I think it is working very well.

HI
Always good to see positive comments on 3way fridges
Obviously yours are installed correctly :D
Sadly MOST are not ,THEN the fridge gets a bad reputation due to the stupidity of the installers

Hi Michael,
Yes as PeterQ said if the installation is done as per specifications the Dometic works well.
We have the RM 2555 which is a bit smaller 150Ltr and is AES, the entire unit is very impressive. Have had one 240V and one 12V element go but now are another four years down the track and no problems.

Us too, on any of the three way settings is good. Wish the controls were at the top of the fridge not the bottom though.
