Frank, heads in general are notoriously unreliable and that is why people who don’t wish to forget anything have lists. This is especially the case when the shops are 10 km away ;-)

When you walk up/down supermarket aisles browsing stuff how do you reliably remember from a couple of hundred things what may be running low at home? Your head must be much better than mine

If I used that technique at Bunnings I’d be there all day. I walk in with 6 things on a list, go directly to the appropriate aisles and hopefully exit 15 minutes later :)

When it comes to supermarkets there is no ‘we’. She drives herself and does all of the shopping while I stay home. When travelling I drive her to the supermarket and I stay in the car with my laptop. If we went to the supermarket together I’d be flying around with the trolley whilst she would be imitating an anchor

Sounds familiar OT….my wife actively discourages me from doing the shopping….can’t think why.

Oh…maybe because I never check prices on anything….if I see it and want it…I get it.

The smile on my face coming home doesn’t last long

We use shopping list all the time. I think it reduces impulse buying. We only buy whats on the list.
Also we both have iPhones and share the shopping list in notes. We do the shop together but split up in the supermarket. I can cross of anything from the list I have purchased and it will amend the list in my wifes phone in real time and visa versa. Cool function.

Rod, in my OP I said my list hangs inside the pantry door.

Are you saying you don’t actually have a walk-in pantry in your van? ;-)

Pffffffft, I’m lucky to have a walk in bedroom let alone a pantry, ours is a 45cm high by 20cm wide door, come to think of it, just a bit taller and Brenda could walk in

(Don’t tell her I said that, I’ll deny it)
