Join Us in Victoria’s West

When we think of western Victoria, we normally think of the Great Ocean Road, arguably Australia’s most scenic drive. While this brilliant piece of Australia is undeniably worth visiting, in this trip we explore the path less travelled and uncover the hidden treasures in Victoria’s west, from the seaside setting on Bass Strait to volcano country and the Southern Grampians. We start our trip on Werribee on the outskirts of Melbourne’s western suburbs. Here we take a safari tour through Werribee Zoo, learn about the history of Werribee Mansion and find a beaut caravan park right on the shoreline. Our next stop is the vibrant city of Geelong, home to the National Wool Museum, Ford Discovery Centre and sparkling Eastern Beach. The Bellarine Peninsula is next on our to-do list, and we take the scenic route around this holiday hot spot. From here our journey into the heart of western Victoria begins. We stop through Colac, Camperdown, Hamilton and Coleraine to soak up the character and heritage of these country towns. Highlights include the Ansett Transport Museum and Glenelg Fine Confectionery Shop. Come along and join us as we reveal the alternative route though Victoria’s west.
