Sunliner Holiday

Available from Australian Motor Homes, the comfortable and stylish 23ft Sunliner Holiday G32 makes touring easy and enjoyable. The Holiday uses the Iveco 45C18 as the driving cabin and is very easy going, especially for someone who has never driven a motorhome before.

Sometimes the idea of driving a large vehicle can be a little intimidating, yet the Holiday has a smooth feel with a decent turning circle. You almost have to remind yourself that you are driving a motorhome and not a van!

The Iveco uses semi-automatic transmission, which gives the feeling of a manual with the convenience of an automatic. This is to help give it more torque for stop-and-starts like a manual gives, and that’s really helpful for those who can’t drive a manual transmission.

EXTERNAL

At just under 3m tall, there’s no arguing that the Holiday is definitely very neat and stylish. The bodywork is finished with modern pinstriping and the bodykit adds to the modern look. The integration of the driving cabin and the body is well designed, as it looks like one whole unit. Overall, the Holiday’s exterior is swish and you will look forward to seeing inside.

The Holiday has one decent-sized storage bin that includes housing for the battery, battery charger, awning arm and wheel brace. The wiring that runs through has been neatly arranged to ensure it is out of the way.

Another handy feature is the velcro strap attached to the lid of the storage bin so you don’t have to hold it up by hand. The gas bottles are located at the rear of the motorhome, which allows for two 4kg gas bottles.

INTERNAL

Beginning with the driving compartment, the Iveco is comfortable and includes features such as airbags, CD player and reversing camera. There is no need for extension mirrors as there is good vision on both sides.

The passenger seat can swivel to face the lounge/dining area, which really utilises space by providing more sitting room. Another space saver is the overhead storage space located above the windscreen. Privacy is achieved by a screen blocking off the cabin.

The interior of the motorhome consists of soft, warm colours, giving it overall style. The lounge/dining area is a good size for four or fi ve people and also folds down to make a double bed. There is plenty of light available with the ceiling hatch and Dometic windows.

The insides of the cupboards and drawers have been sanded back nicely to ensure a smooth feel. This is always a good indication that care has been taken in construction. The kitchen is set in the middle of the motorhome and comes complete with a microwave, three-burner stove, oven and grill with stainless steel rangehood. The pantry is located next to the stove and has enough room to store food products.

There is sufficient bench space to prepare meals and the 120L three-way fridge is on the opposite wall, giving easy access while cooking.

The Holiday also has a separate shower and toilet, which is great for the size. The doorway to the bathroom is beside the pantry, which has a small gap at the top for ventilation. As you walk inside, the vanity and mirror are first on your left with a little corner cupboard to house your toiletries. There is also a small window to allow for extra ventilation and natural light.

The double bed has a small angle on the mattress to make room for the shower/toilet, as every inch of space has been used effectively. This is definitely worth the sacrifice.
