Technology has developed so much over the last 10 years, allowing endless amounts of innovation within the RV industry. However, interiors have been lacking somewhat in new design developments.

New Age Caravans was established to combat this, and offers a range of interior and exterior developments that are up to date with the latest technology that the Australian RV industry has to offer. Its 22ft Oz Classic is designed with a highly modernised interior that sports modern finish bench tops and timber finish flooring, and provides a cool, calm, easy to clean space to enjoy your RVing holidays.

The interior is backed up by a heavy-duty chassis that was developed and built from the latest technology and materials, to ensure your end package is one that is not only attractive and comfortable, but also strong and durable.

The 2600kg tare weight means that you can tow the Oz Classic with a standard 4WD such as this Navara. It's worth keeping a close eye on the tare weight of any van you're looking into, as a heavier van could require a tow vehicle upgrade, which isn't cheap. The ride height of the Oz Classic has it sitting ideally behind a standard 4WD tow vehicle, ready to take you on your next adventure.

A sealed wet area has been designed into the layout of the Oz Classic to allow for a large shower area. It's important that your shower be sealed, as any leaking water can quickly make its way into the framework and cause structural damage to your RV. New Age Caravans has been diligent in ensuring the shower area in the Oz Classic is fully sealed to prevent this. A stainless steel flexible shower head completes the picture.

The Oz Classic leaves nothing to chance in terms of storage. Multiple external boots are easily accessible, and provide enough room to store just about anything you find on your travels. 15in alloys make sure you look good when rolling in to your next destination. They are load rated so they'll cope with the weight of the van without any problems.

RV travel can get pretty hot or cold quickly. Often it takes you to some of the more remote locations around Australia, where the climate can be completely different to what you may be used to at home. An IBIS low profile air-conditioning system mounts to the roof, and is a great way to combat the extremes.

Entertainment is a big part of the RV lifestyle. While we travel in RVs to get away from daily life, some television entertainment is a great way to wind down and relax if you've had a big day of touring, or if the weather turns bad. An LCD system as well as a stereo are included in the Oz Classic so you never have to look far to stay entertained.

Once you've parked up for the day, or if you're enjoying an afternoon off from your travelling schedule, it pays to have some shade. A Dometic rollout awning has been included in the Oz Classic, so you can enjoy a couple of cool drinks regardless of the weather.

The sleek and modern design of the Oz Classic continues into the bathroom. A modern vanity basin is in place, and is complemented by an up to date looking tap. Laminate cabinetry is stylish, functional and easy to clean. A topload washing machine is a standard inclusion in the Oz Classic, preventing you from being tied to town-based campsites with washing machines – the more freedom the better, right?

LED lights are included on the Oz Classic. LED lights are the best option for reliability, and if you're planning on travelling to remote locations where spare parts may be hard to come by, LEDs are a good way to go. The Oz Classic also has a spare tyre on the rear, which is great if you run into any flats during your journey. To complete the rear end, a scrub bar runs along the bottom of the body of the van – providing a little extra reassurance when traversing uneven surfaces.

The front end of the Oz Classic means business. Chequerplate has been bolted in place to keep the panelling from getting damaged, should you come across any debris on the road, and a large lockable toolbox rests neatly in front. As we mentioned earlier, there is plenty of storage throughout the Oz Classic, with this toolbox giving you some extra security for your larger possessions. Twin 9kg gas bottles are also strapped to the A-frame and are plumbed directly to the kitchen, so you never have to worry about any kind of switching when you want to cook a meal.
