The festival is held every year in Corryong, Victoria and was first established in 1995 as a celebration of the centenary year of Banjo Paterson’s famous poem “The Man from Snowy River.” Horse riders, poets, artists, international visitors and high country locals come together to celebrate the imagery and traditions that represent bush culture and everything that goes along with Banjo’s most famous poem. A visit to the festival means a very unique Australian experience for all. Be present as the famous horse muster is reenacted or if you’re a ute enthusiast, enter your rig into the ute muster. All the budding buskers out there can enter the Aussie Bush Idol Competition; have your talent discovered and you could win some great prizes. Listen to poets, musicians and comedians or browse through the markets, or art and photography exhibitions that will be on display. Food, drinks and entertainment will definitely not be at a shortage! The festival will be held from the 30 March-2 April at various locations in and around Corryong.
