Boroma Roamers Rally, November 2006. The third Boroma “Roamers” Rally was held at the Clarence Coast Resort Big4 at Yamba, NSW, over the weekend of November 10, 11, and 12. Almost 60 Boroma caravan owners and friends attended the Rally. Earlier in the week the weather had threatened to dampen the festivities, with wild winds and hail buffeting the caravan park, however by Friday, mother nature decided to change her plans and rally attendees were blessed with glorious sunshine throughout the weekend. Club members, looking very smart sporting their new pale blue “Boroma Roamers” polo shirts, shared a catch up drinks and shared a few travel stories on Friday night. Many old acquaintances were renewed and new friendships formed among the Boroma caravan owners, many of whom had attended the two previous rallies. On Saturday, a lunchtime BBQ was hosted by Boroma Caravans directors Peter Russell and Judie Groves and the afternoon was spent wine tasting. Various other local exhibits were also on show throughout the weekend for the guests to enjoy. Peter and Judie took the opportunity to update everyone on the changes which have taken place at Boroma since the last rally and announced some exciting news-the opening of their new Sales & Display Centre at Loganholme in Queensland. Sunday saw a magnificent champagne breakfast and local coffee tasting, hosted by the Clarence Coast Resort personnel in the camp kitchen. This gesture was greatly appreciated by everyone who attended. All the Boroma Roamers who attended this years rally agreed it was another huge success. |
