The Australian Defence Force currently uses drone technology for surveillance.
The Corporal section commander will soon be carrying a helicopter type drone about the size in the video. It will save lives by going further ahead than the forward scout and do it safely, reporting back as to where if any there are any bad guys within the patrol boundaries. We tried to get the forerunners to this technology when I was in but unfortunately so was the Labor party-sorry no money for such dreams.
We are awaiting the delivery of UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) to be used for border protection duties in the west, flown remotely from Amberly Air Base just out of Brisbane. They will be able to stay "on station" for longer periods of time.
For your information.

I don't know whether to feel more scared, or more safe...........
AI is happening and will continue to develop.
Hopefully the good guys will be able to keep ahead of the bad guys, but I guess we won't know that till the tide turns, if it does...........
