I have as of about 1 hour ago, just taken out the anode of our Suburban hot water system in our 2008 Coromal Princeston.
By the way, I have learnt to never stand in front of the system when the anode is released. It sprayed water and that white substance about 3 plus meters.
I am not sure if it is S/Steel.
The Anode was in very good condition so I will not replace it as of now.
As I have indicated, I usually exchange the anode every April / May.
But we have not used the van much in the last 12 months, so will go with the existing anode.
Also.... swapped over the gas bottles as I need to refill one. But now I have to find out why I have no gas coming into the van.
Yes I did turn on the knob on top of the bottle.
But I like a challenge.
Heading off to Woodgate Queensland mid June for a couple of weeks.
Never been there, and re[ports are very favourable re the NRMA C.Park.
Naturally not much in the way of bush camps in that area.

Yep it pays to open a hot tap to let out the pressure......
I now have to note that I cannot accept ownership, truth, quality, or veracity, of articles I may quote off the internet.

Lovely place, especially with the cafe at the front of the park. If you are put on a site under the Leopard trees, check to see if they have seed pods on the branches. They are not big but make a hell of a noise when they hit the van / car in the middle of the night.

There are more open sites further back in the park.

Also like the Bowls Club there for entertainment, meals, and raffles etc.

Cheers

Thanks Muzz.
I have checked it out on Wiki Camp and some one thankfully posted a map of the park and marked the best areas for the van to be exposed for sunlight. Good idea during the winter months.
Hep!!! Bowls Club get great reviews on Wiki Camp.

We have had Woodgate on our list for a few years, so looking forward to a great holiday.

Hot water system now functional for another year. I wonder howmany people know about the anode replacement in the Suburban Hot Water system.
