Coromal HWS

Post by Old Techo » Mon Apr 22, 2019 11:49 am

Does anyone know if the Coromal brand of at least a decade ago typically used a HWS of stainless steel construction?

I'm asking because an unaware friend had a Coromal and never had an anode change in 11 years. I assume because there was no anode.

OT,
I think you are best to have a look at exactly what it is as ten years ago approx was an era where people still retrofitted water heaters even if they bought new caravans. But I think you would know this. If he bought the caravan new, it would be documented on his order delivery form. Best way is just have a look see and work from there...

Just looked up a Coromal for sale and scrolled through the pictures. Definitely suburban or similar.

TA,

The Coromal was purchased nearly new but now traded in on a different brand about 2 years ago. So there is no evidence available to check.

The owner although competent does not often do his own van maintenance and had never heard of an anode till I mentioned it in an email.

I am expecting a Coromal owner on the forum to pop up with first-hand info :D

Thanks Sid for your research :)

Sid, Our Coromal princeston is a 2009 and we have the Suburban HWS.

I have replaced the anode 3 times since we bought it second hand.
My view is that the anode needs to be replaced around every 12 to 18 months.
I check yearly generally before we head off for the winter trip.
Does not look like a winter trip this year due to health issues.
